Claim the Life is specifically designed with younger youth and older youth in mind. However, classes with combined age levels will be able to use the materials successfully, especially since each week has two teaching options.

Claim the Life has two options for each session, so you can choose which will work best for your class:

  • “One Big Thing” (task or experience)

              -or-

  • “Q & D” (discussion starter)

In each semester, 5 of the 16 lessons have a video vignette as the discussion starter. These Veracity Video Vignettes may also be used in a youth group setting. Veracity Video Vignettes contain engaging videos that speak the language of youth and engage them in a conversation style that relates to them.

Claim the Life lessons each revolve around a single key word (or phrase) from Scripture. These words are significant to claiming life as a Christian. They include Commitment, Blessing, Peace, Abundant Life, Forgiving, Humility, Abstain, Follow, Fruitful, Belonging, Praying, and Image of God—to name only a few of the 192 in the 6-year plan. Give your youth a language of faith so that they can claim it, feel it, live it!
